Mesp (KH.C3.100) full enhancer drives the dominant-negative form of Ci-FGFR (C2.125) fused to Venus reporter gene in the B7.5 lineage. The dominant-negative form of Ci-FGFR (R1CiGC32j14)lacking the intracellular domain was generated using the following primer pair: 5'-aatggcggccgcaATGATACAACTACAAAATACGTTT-3' and 3'-ggaattcTTAGTTCCCGAACAACATCACC-5'. The FGFRDN Venus construct was constructed by fusing Venus YFP(Nagai et al. 2002) to the 3'end of the Mesp–FGFRDN construct employing EcoR1 and Blp1 sites.
